The main feature of any townhouse is its staircase and stairwell.
What we did with this design was to use roof glazing to throw as much light as possible down the open stairwell.
The stair is designed in timber with metal balustrading and the use of strip lighting under the stair creates the impression of the stair floating off the walls, adding to the feeling of light and space.
The material choice within the new WC ties in the timber of the stair and use of lighting within the floor to create a soft haze of light while the WC is not in use but door open.
